Tour Departures
Aug 30th
For all Spousetivities participants registered for bus tours, this post is for you. I sent an e-mail out over the weekend with detailed information and a map. The Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, and Hoover Dam tours will depart from Ground Transportation at the Venetian Sands Expo Center. This is not the same as the taxi area, but rather the tour bus area. When you go to the Sands Expo Center, there will be escalators going down. Take that down and look for the ground transportation sign at the glass doors.
If you have any trouble, please ask for directions or call More >
Spousetivities at VMworld 2011 is Open for Registration
Jul 10th
I am pleased to announce that registration for Spousetivities is now open! If you have already registered, thank you! If you haven’t registered, I encourage you to register now.
One quick note: I have seen several people that have signed up only for the breakfast. This is completely fine; our Get to Know You breakfasts are always great fun. There is one thing I need to point out, though: if you plan to participate in other events as well, you cannot register for those at the breakfast. All registrations MUST be done in advance. VMworld 2011 Planning Update
Jul 4th
Hi folks! I know it’s been a while so I wanted to give everyone an update on how things are coming along for Spousetivities at VMworld in Las Vegas. I’ve added a new sponsor and negotiated a few contracts so keep reading for the latest details.
First, a quick update on sponsors. Of course we all know Spousetivities wouldn’t be what it is today without the support of our sponsors. I am pleased to announce that the VMUG (VMware User Group) is our latest sponsor. The VMUG team is anxious to jump in and lend a hand with making Spousetivities even better. More >

Travel Safety
Oct 4th
With all the media attention surrounding Americans being warned about travel in Europe, I felt it appropriate to do some research and post my findings here. While nobody is truly safe anywhere these days–including driving to the office each day or sending our children to school–there are some things that travelers in general can do to make their experience a little safer and thus, more relaxing.
- Use common sense. For example, if there is a package with nobody nearby, walk away and notify authorities. It might be nothing, but it is always better to choose caution.
- Be aware of your surroundings. Don’t be More >
Let the Fun Begin!
Oct 1st
I have been working feverishly to finalize arrangements for VMworld Copenhagen Spousetivities. I finally have everything in place! There are a few critical things that everyone needs to know. First, if you have not already registered, you need to do so right away. I only have a certain number of spaces reserved and when they are gone, there will be a fee to participate. Below, you will find a detailed list of what we are doing each day and how many spots remain. I will also list how much the event will be if you register after the free spots More >
Copenhagen Update
Sep 27th
This is a quick update to let you know where things currently stand for the Copenhagen events. Tuesday is pretty much a set schedule. We will spend about 3 hours at the Planetarium. You can register here for the Planetarium activities and welcome breakfast. I am also organizing a group for Tuesday afternoon that will spend some time walking around the city to see what there is to see. We will return to our hotels in time for the welcome reception for VMworld. If you are interested in participating in this adventure, please e-mail me so I will know about how More >
